The Trials of the Prophets and Their Followers

Hadith of the Day is a daily feature highlighting timeless sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Ahlul-Bayt (pbut), offering insights into faith, ethics, and spirituality for contemporary life.

Hawzah News Agency- Shaikh al-Saduq narrated from his father (may Allah be pleased with him), who narrated from Sa’d ibn Abdullah, from al-Hasan ibn Musa al-Khashshab, from Isma’il ibn Mihran, from Ali ibn Uthman, from Imam Kadhim (pbuh), who said:

Indeed the prophets, the children of the prophets, and the followers of the prophets are distinguished by three qualities: illness in the bodies, fear of the ruler, and poverty.
